June 4, 2018Like All great things in life, some come to an ending. One of them being MAD CATZ. They were an American company that provided interactive entertainment products marketed under Mad Catz, GameShark (gaming products) and TRITTON (audio products). Mad Catz developed flight simulation software through its internal ThunderHawk Studios, developed flight simulation and chess hardware under its Saitek brand, published games under its Mad Catz brand, and distributed games and video game products for third-party partners.
MAD CATZ ceased operations on March 30, 2017, and filed a voluntary petition for relief under Chapter 7 of U.S. Bankruptcy code to initiate an orderly liquidation of its assets.
Many great products are still being sold, and at amazingly low prices. One of my favorite items is the R.A.T. 1 mouse. It is programmable and very good looking. It is modular, you can customize the palm rest size, and at a time, you can even download STLs to 3D print your own. However once a company closes, they no longer provide limited to no support for their items.
For this great item, there is no longer drivers nor software available from the site, it also does not come packaged with drivers though Windows will build one or download a generic one (7, 8 & 10).
For my specific use, I have a Windows 10 x64 computer where I use this little thing. Luckily not only do I have the drivers for the x64 Windows 10 OS, I also have the software for the programming. If you still want to get a hold of one of these, or have one and cannot use it due to the limitations of not being able to get the software or drivers and use Windows 10 x64, I have the driver here for you.
