June 11, 2018For a while now, we’ve been hearing reports about this year’s Google Pixel phones. From the rumor that there may be three new handsets this time around — with one supposed midranger to be added to your usual flagship duo — to exact leaks pointing out that the Pixel 3 XL’s display would have an OLED panel made by LG.
We also keep hearing about the notch. Allegedly, the Pixel 3 XL will have a cutout at the top of the display, housing not one but two selfie cameras, while the regular Pixel 3 would keep the classic rectangular look.
Serial leakster @OnLeaks has now chimed in with his own information on the matter. According to him, this is correct — Pixel 3 XL will have a notch, while the Pixel 3 will not. He has also spilled the beans on the expected screen sizes. 5.3 inches for the smaller model, 6.2 inches for the XL.
As far as how accurate this leak is — time will tell, but @OnLeaks rarely jumps the gun before making sure the information is solid, and has a good track record with leaks in the past.
According to my sources:
Pixel 3 ≃ 5.3-inch (no notch)
Pixel 3XL ≃ 6.2-inch (notch)— Steve H. (@OnLeaks) June 4, 2018
